‘2,841% markup on IV sets’: Maharashtra FDA flags huge price gaps in medical products
Maharashtra FDA survey reveals shocking markups on medical devices like IV sets at 2,841% and syringes at 747%. Patients face inflated MRPs with no bargaining power, say industry experts.
An association of medical device manufacturers supported Mundhe, seeking a fair pricing policy. 'Patients, who cannot bargain or choose devices, are left vulnerable to inflated maximum retail prices,' said Rajiv Nath, forum coordinator, Association of Indian Medical Device Industry.
