India in Asian Games 2026: Full list of all 503 athletes across events
India will field over 500 athletes across 36 disciplines at the 20th Asian Games, set to be officially open between September 19 and October 4.

After a record 107-medal haul in Hangzhou in 2023, India will aim to build on their growing status in the Asian Games during the 20th edition of the continental event, starting Friday, in Aichi-Nagoya, Japan.
A jumbo contingent has been approved by the sports ministry across 36 disciplines at the 20th Asiad, set to be officially open between September 19 and October 4.
India’s contingent has expanded from an initial 492 to 503 athletes—comprising 269 men and 234 women—following the inclusion of four surfers, six athletes and one Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) fighter. Backing the competitors is a 265-member support group, which includes 246 coaches and support staff alongside 19 Indian Olympic Association contingent officials. The total remains below the record contingent sent to the Hangzhou edition three years ago, where India fielded 661 athletes (333 men and 328 women).
