Govt Raises Monthly Wage Ceiling For PF Coverage To Rs 25,000, To Spend Rs 11,339 Cr From Its Own Kitty

The government will spend around Rs 11,339 crore every year as part of the move, Vaishnaw said.
The government has raised the monthly wage ceiling for provident fund coverage to Rs 25,000 from Rs 15,000, a move aimed at widening social security coverage and helping employers retain their workforce.
Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw announced the decision at a Cabinet briefing on Wednesday.
