Days After PM Modi’s Schoolmate Seeks Help Over 15-Year Mumbai Land Row, BJP MLA Gives Up 'Disputed' Plot

Days after 81-year-old Asgar Ali Vora, who is Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s schoolmate, met him over a 15-year-old land dispute in Mumbai’s Bhayander, BJP MLA Narendra Mehta on Tuesday said he would give up possession of the disputed plot and surrender the construction permission granted for it.
Vora had met PM Modi on September 8 seeking his intervention, alleging that his 2,810-square-metre plot had been taken over by Swayam Builders and Mehta’s Seven Eleven Constructions. Following the meeting, government authorities took up the matter and convened a meeting at Mantralaya on Tuesday, according to The Times of India.
