After Dr Rajkumar, Anant Nag brings home Dadasaheb Phalke Award to Sandalwood

Legendary Kannada actor Anant Nag has been awarded the Dadasaheb Phalke Award 2024, becoming only the second actor from Sandalwood to win India’s highest cinematic honour. The 72nd National Film Awards will formally confer the award, recognising his five-decade journey across Kannada and other Indian film industries.

With this prestigious honour, Anant Nag becomes only the second actor from the Kannada film industry to ever win the Dadasaheb Phalke Award after Dr Rajkumar.
