Allu Aravind Says M.S. Subbulakshmi ‘Has Chosen Rashmika Mandanna’ For Her Biopic Amid Casting Criticism

Allu Aravind defended Rashmika Mandanna’s casting as M.S. Subbulakshmi, saying the legendary singer herself “has chosen Rashmika” for her biopic amid criticism.

Rashmika Mandanna will star in the biopic of legendary singer and Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi. The actress will be seen playing the role of M.S. Subbulakshmi, while filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri will direct the film. Following the announcement of the casting, there was criticism over Rashmika’s selection, but now Kamal Haasan and producer Allu Aravind have spoken in favour of Mandanna.

Allu Aravind, while talking about Rashmika Mandanna’s casting at the film’s launch on Wednesday, said, “We’re all together…not making your biopic, amma. You have chosen us to make it. Thank you. I have become slightly emotional, seeing the big portrait of hers."
