Producers Allu Aravind, Rockline Venkatesh, and Bunny Vas have officially launched the pan-India biopic on legendary singer and Bharat Ratna M.S. Subbulakshmi, one of India’s greatest musical icons whose divine voice mesmerized audiences across the world for decades. Rashmika Mandanna will portray M.S. Subbulakshmi, while filmmaker Gowtam Tinnanuri directs the film. Anirudh Ravichander has been roped in to compose the soundtrack.

The launch took place on Wednesday at the Music Academy in Chennai, marking the 110th birth anniversary of M.S. Subbulakshmi. Legendary actor and Ulaganayagan Kamal Haasan officially launched the project and gave the ceremonial clap for the film’s first shot featuring Rashmika Mandanna. The event was attended by members of M.S. Subbulakshmi’s family, renowned Carnatic musicians, and several prominent personalities from the film industry.
