Adidas has begun a major round of layoffs at its India Tech Hub in Gurgaon. The layoffs are expected to impact nearly 20% of the hub’s workforce of 900 employees. The athletic apparel and footwear company announced the layoffs at a town hall on Tuesday, September 15.
Adidas confirmed the layoffs in a statement to Hindustantimes.com, claiming that less than 20% employees will be impacted. Earlier reports had suggested that 50% of employees at the Gurgaon Tech Hub wuld face the axe.
