Vijay Sethupathi’s Maharaja is heading to Hollywood, marking a first for Tamil cinema. The 2024 crime thriller is set to get an official Hollywood remake, with a Hollywood agency now working to set up the project with an A-list actor.
Producer Sudhan Sundaram confirmed the development in an interview with The Times of India, revealing that the makers were approached for the remake rights after the film’s strong run in China. The Hollywood agency is now trying to put the project together, with filming expected to begin next year.
