Harry Brook Creates New T20I Record, Becomes First Player From Full-Member Team To...
Before Brook, only 2 captains, Adil Butt (Eswatini) and Faheem Nazir (Switzerland), had scored multiple T20I 100s in a calendar year, but both are from ICC Associate Member teams.
Harry Brook entered his name in the history books on Tuesday (September 15) by becoming the first player from a full-member team to score multiple T20I centuries in a calendar year as a captain.
Brook, who replaced Buttler as England’s white-ball captain in 2025, scored his maiden T20I century as England captain on February 24, 2026, against Pakistan in Pallekele during the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026. He then played an unbeaten knock of 114 runs against Sri Lanka in Southampton on Tuesday.
