Odisha govt disbursed over Rs 25,800 crore under Subhadra scheme in 2 years: Deputy CM Parida
Bhubaneswar, Sep 16 (PTI) The Odisha government has transferred Rs 25,800 crore into the bank accounts of more than 1.03 crore women beneficiaries under the Subhadra scheme in five instalments, Deputy Chief Minister Pravati Parida said on Wednesday.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi had launched the women-centric scheme on his birthday on September 17, 2024.
Women aged between 21 and 60 years are eligible for the scheme, which provides financial assistance of Rs 50,000 over five years from 2024-25 to 2028-29 to help them become financially independent and self-reliant.
