Saudi Arabia Records First Death In Houthi Escalation As Drone Debris Hits Taif

Saudi Arabia reported its first death in the latest Houthi escalation after debris from an intercepted drone fell in Taif, killing a Yemeni national and injuring two others.
A drone interception over Saudi Arabia’s Taif governorate turned deadly on Thursday when falling fragments struck the area, killing a Yemeni citizen and injuring two others, Saudi authorities said.
The country’s civil defence agency said the debris caused damage to a number of buildings and vehicles. Pictures carried by Saudi state media showed broken windows on cars and damage to the fronts of shops in the affected area.
