‘Have A Spine, Roll Back UPI Tax’: Rahul Gandhi Targets PM Modi Over MDR

He urged PM Modi to "stop lying down in front of the US, have a spine, stand up" and rollback the "UPI tax".

Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi on Wednesday demanded the immediate withdrawal of the new Merchant Discount Rate (MDR) framework for certain UPI transactions, referring to it as a “UPI tax".

In a video message shared on X, the Congress MP accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of “prostrating" himself before US President Donald Trump and alleged that the new UPI framework would result in a large amount of money going to Washington.
