US identifies India, China among 23 major drug transit, illicit drug producing nations

The US has named India, China and Pakistan among 23 nations identified as major drug transit or illicit drug producing countries. Trump urged global leaders to tackle narcotics trafficking despite existing efforts.

“I welcome Prime Minister Modi and the Government of India’s efforts to address illicit opium poppy cultivation and bolster supply chain integrity," said Trump.
