Government questions Rahul Gandhi's criticism of UPI charges, says Congress MPs in panel gave nod

The government has questioned Rahul Gandhi's opposition to UPI payment fees, citing support from Congress MPs including P Chidambaram in a parliamentary panel. The panel had recommended a tiered MDR framework to address funding gaps in the UPI ecosystem.

Five Congress MPs including P Chidambaram, Manish Tewari, Gaurav Gogoi, Kishori Lal and K Gopinath were present on August 12 when the report was adopted.
