BCCI Shortlists 2 Names To Replace Ajit Agarkar As Chief Selector

A report claims that Ajit Agarkar may have chaired his final selection committee meeting with the BCCI now focusing on appointing his successor.
The Indian cricket board (BCCI) has reportedly started the process to appoint the next chairman of the men’s cricket team selection committee, with Ajit Agarkar unlikely to get an extension. Agarkar was first appointed to the role in July 2023, with his current contract running until October 4.
It appeared likely that the former India fast bowler would be given another extension running until the 2027 ODI World Cup, but recent events may have resulted in him not renewing the contract.
