In Pali, Rajasthan, two trailers collided head-on at the Sojat bypass, after which one vehicle caught fire. The blaze spread rapidly, leaving the driver trapped inside. He died after being burnt alive. Firefighters and police reached the spot, and after nearly an hour of rescue efforts, the body was recovered and sent to the hospital mortuary. Police are investigating the cause of the collision and possible negligence. In Rangareddy, Telangana, a commercial shop near Manikonda’s BRC Apartments caught fire, reportedly after a gas cylinder explosion. The fire began when a puncture-shop employee was cooking and flames spread to nearby rubber materials. Firefighters prevented the blaze from reaching surrounding buildings. No casualties were reported. In Godda, Jharkhand, a spectacle shop in New Market caught fire due to an alleged short circuit. Since it was Sunday, the shop was closed, but the fire destroyed the entire establishment before firefighters controlled it. In Panihati near Kolkata, a major fire broke out at a CESC facility, allegedly following a transformer explosion.
