Salem Railway Division organises interaction on new Labour Codes

The Salem Railway Division organised an interaction on the new Labour Codes with special reference to their impact on the Railways at the Divisional Railway Manager’s office on Friday (September 11).The programme aimed to spread awareness among branch officers and senior supervisors involved in contract management on the crucial provisions of the Labour Codes.R. Saravanan, Additional Divisional Railway Manager, H.B. Shivakumar, Chief Medical Superintendent, Krishna Muthu Rajan, Senior Divisional Personnel Officer, and other branch officers and staff participated. Contractors engaged in railway works and contract workers were also present.Srinu Dara, Deputy Chief Labour Commissioner (Central), Chennai, delivered a lecture on the new Labour Codes. He explained in detail the provisions of the codes, their implementation and compliance requirements.
