The first module of the Bharatiya Antariksh Station is planned for launch in 2028.A major milestone will be Chandrayaan-4, designed to demonstrate technologies needed to land on the Moon, collect lunar samples and safely return them to Earth. ISRO has also outlined further lunar missions, including Chandrayaan-5/LUPEX in collaboration with Japan’s JAXA.India’s human-spaceflight programme is also advancing through Gaganyaan and the technologies required for docking, crew transfer and long-duration missions.
