The complainant, identified as Hina Bari, lives in the society with her family and works as a teacher at a school in Indirapuram.According to the complaint filed by Bari, she returned home from school at around 3 pm and entered the society's lift area. A woman identified as Shweta Sube was already inside the lift with her pet dog. DISPUTE STARTS OVER LIFT ENTRYBari claimed that Sube was not allowing another person to enter the lift along with her and the dog. When Bari attempted to enter, an argument broke out between the two women.The disagreement escalated, with Bari saying that Sube struck her with the stick used to handle the dog. She further mentioned that she was slapped when she objected and that the other woman abused and threatened her during the altercation. The incident was captured on the society's CCTV cameras.The footage shows one woman standing inside the lift with a dog. When the second woman enters, the two appear to argue before the confrontation turns physical. The woman with the dog can be seen using a stick during the altercation, after which both women appear to engage in a scuffle.A society security guard can also be seen attempting to intervene and bring the situation under control.POLICE REGISTER NON-COGNIZABLE REPORTFollowing the incident, Bari approached Nandgram police station and submitted a written complaint seeking action against the other woman.ACP Nandgram Ziauddin Ahmed said an NCR had been registered on the basis of the complaint and that an investigation was underway.Police said the roles of both women would be examined as part of the investigation.
