Congress Gandhi Rahul Gandhi made a veiled dig and said that 80% of Indians are non-vegetarians, while Pawan Khera took potshots at the BJP and said if India is home to some of the finest non-vegetarian delicacies, ‘why did the Modi government choose to hide this part of India’s culture?’. The BJP responded amd slammed the Congress over criticism of the all-vegetarian food served at the BRICS summit gala dinner, saying the opposition party is "sulking" as India has emerged as a global consensus builder and is taking the mentality of a "naraz fufa" to the international stage.
