Woman biker chased, hit by car in Gurugram after asking 'drunk' driver to stay away

A woman biker was injured after a speeding car allegedly rammed her motorcycle on Gurugram’s Golf Course Road in a suspected hit-and-run incident.The collision, captured on an action camera mounted on her bike, has since gone viral on social media.The woman, identified as Sia, was out on a Sunday ride with fellow bikers when the incident took place. In a video posted on social media, she claimed that the occupants of the white sedan had been following her and that the driver was driving aggressively.She initially asked the driver to maintain a safe distance. Instead, she said, the driver told her to pull over. She also claimed that the occupants of the sedan appeared to be drunk. It was not immediately clear how many people were inside the car. Sia said she then tried to stay ahead of the sedan to prevent the driver from cutting in front of her motorcycle. As the car continued to follow her, one of her fellow riders moved behind her bike in an attempt to shield her from the vehicle.The situation escalated when the sedan suddenly swerved and rammed Sia’s motorcycle from the side. The impact threw her onto the road, while her bike skidded across the asphalt, producing a trail of sparks. Another video, recorded by a helmet-mounted camera on a fellow rider’s motorcycle, showed him chasing the sedan. He briefly confronted the man when the car stopped at a traffic signal, but the sedan soon sped away.Sia was subsequently taken to a nearby hospital, where she was admitted for treatment.Following the incident, the Gurugram traffic police launched an investigation after the videos surfaced online.
