Hanuman Ansh, a modestly budgeted devotional film, is defying the usual box-office curve. The film earned Rs 8.25 crore nett on Day 40, surpassing several major Hindi releases at the same stage.
Most films are already preparing to leave the big screen by the time they reach Day 40. Hanuman Ansh, however, appears to have other plans. The Vishal Chaturvedi-directed devotional film continued its theatrical run with an India nett collection of Rs 8.25 crore on its 40th day, a number that stands out even among films that have enjoyed long box-office runs.
According to industry tracker Sacnilk, the film earned the amount across 9,175 shows in India. With that latest collection, Hanuman Ansh has taken its India nett total to Rs 231.13 crore, while its India gross stands at Rs 272.90 crore. The film also collected Rs 2 crore overseas on Day 40, taking its overseas gross to Rs 18.50 crore. Its worldwide gross now stands at Rs 291.40 crore.
