Absconding Israeli drug dealer Atala surrenders before Goa court; sent to 30-day judicial custody
Panaji, Sep 16 (PTI) Absconding Israeli drug dealer Yaniv Benaim alias Atala surrendered before a court in Goa on Wednesday, which then remanded him in a 30-day judicial custody in connection with a narcotics case.
Atala, against whom a non-bailable warrant (NBW) and a Look-Out Circular (LOC) had been issued, surrendered around noon before the court at Merces in North Goa in compliance with the Bombay High Court’s September 16 deadline.
His bail plea pending before the Bombay High Court at Goa will be heard on September 21.
