Conversions through allurement, threat won’t be tolerated in Punjab: Rajya Sabha MP Sahney
Amritsar, Sep 17 (PTI) Rajya Sabha MP Vikramjit Singh Sahney, who switched to the BJP from AAP, on Thursday said religious conversions through allurement, coercion, threat, or fraudulent means would not be tolerated in Punjab.
Talking to the media after a meeting, ‘Punjab Chintan Baithak’, organised by him here, Sahney also said that there is no concern with voluntary conversion.
He said that in the meeting, more than 40 prominent Sikh saints and religious leaders from different parts of Punjab deliberated upon pressing social challenges facing the state.
