Cricket Struggles To Draw Crowds Ahead Of Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games, Ticket Sales Weak
Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games organising committee president Hideaki Omura admitted cricket ticket sales have been slower than expected.
Aichi-Nagoya Asian Games organising committee president Hideaki Omura has said that although India have a ‘superstar’ cricket team coming and Indian nationals in Japan are very excited to see their heroes play, ticket sales for the same have not been very strong.
Athletes from 45 countries and territories will compete in more than 40 sports over a period spanning two weeks. Omura said that ticket sales were going ‘fairly well’, particularly for the marquee events.
