Shree Charani has broken new ground in the ICC Women's T20I rankings, becoming the first Indian to cross the 800-point mark after her stellar Women's Asia Cup campaign. With 804 points, she is just two behind Megan Schutt's all-time record.
Shree Charani is on the cusp of a historic milestone in the ICC Women’s T20I Player Rankings after a stellar campaign at the Women’s Asia Cup helped the India spinner strengthen her position among the world’s elite.
The young left-arm spinner has now moved within touching distance of Australia’s Megan Schutt, who holds the record for the highest rating points achieved by a bowler in the women’s T20I rankings. Schutt reached 806 points in November 2018, meaning Charani is just two points away from matching the Australian’s mark.
