12.26 lakh Yaba tablets worth Rs 98 crore seized in Tripura
Agartala, Sep 16 (PTI) A joint operation by the Assam Rifles, DRI and police has led to the seizure of 12.26 lakh Yaba tablets valued at around Rs 98 crore from two districts of Tripura, officials said on Wednesday.
Two persons, both from Assam, were apprehended in this connection, a statement by the Assam Rifles said.
Based on specific intelligence inputs, the Assam Rifles, Directorate of Revenue Intelligence (DRI) and police conducted separate operations at Khowai in Khowai district and Panisagar in North Tripura district on Tuesday night.
