Ladakh LG VK Saxena gets J&K charge as Manoj Sinha proceeds on leave
SRINAGAR: President Droupadi Murmu on Tuesday assigned Ladakh Lieutenant Governor Vinai Kumar Saxena the additional charge of Jammu and Kashmir during the absence of incumbent J&K LG Manoj Sinha, who has proceeded on leave.
According to an order issued by Rashtrapati Bhavan, Saxena will discharge the functions of the Lieutenant Governor of the Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir during Sinha’s absence on leave.
Saxena took over as the fourth Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh on March 13, 2026, after serving as Delhi LG from 2022 to 2026.
