Apple eyes enterprise AI servers powered by M8 Ultra chips: Report
Apple is reportedly developing AI-focused enterprise servers powered by M8 Ultra chips for sale to businesses, developers and governments as early as 2029.
After the recent launch of its flagship devices, Apple is now working out plans to manufacture enterprise servers that would be powered by M8 Ultra chips, according to a new report. The company plans to offer the AI-focused servers for sale, not just use them internally. Two versions of the servers are in development, with Apple considering the incorporation of Nvidia networking tech in the machines.
Reports from The Information reveal that the plans for these new servers have not been finalized and that the servers are not expected to go on sale until 2029.
