Given that romance scam documentaries have become a regular fixture in the schedules, you would think they would have lost the power to shock. But blood will boil in viewers of the first of this three-parter, where three women in middle life recall what happened when they were lonely and started talking to a handsome man online. It turned out, of course, that the same man was dating them all – and he was finding new ways of getting them to send him money. Hollie Richardson
