DUSU poll counting to be held on September 19 at North Campus
New Delhi, Sep 17 (PTI) Counting of votes for the Delhi University Students’ Union (DUSU) elections 2026-27 will be held on Saturday from 8 am at the Multipurpose Hall of the University Sports Stadium in North Campus, according to an official notification.
The notification, issued by Chief Election Officer Raj Kishor Sharma, said the counting would be conducted at the venue located at the University of Delhi, with entry permitted through Gate No. 2.
Colleges, departments and institutions have been directed to send the electronic voting machines (EVMs) to the counting venue immediately after polling.
Polling for the DUSU elections is scheduled for Friday. Voting for day classes will be held from 8.30 am to 1 pm, while students in evening classes can vote from 3 pm to 7.30 pm.
The election will see a contest among major student organisations, including the RSS-affiliated Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), the Congress-backed National Students’ Union of India (NSUI) and the AISA-SFI Left alliance.
The university has also imposed traffic restrictions on key stretches, including Chhatra Marg, Probyn Road and University Road, in view of the election process.
