79th Hyderabad Liberation Day vs People's Governance Day: BJP, Telangana govt marks Sep 17 with separate events; CM Revanth skips parade

Centre and Telangana government marked September 17 as Hyderabad Liberation Day and People's Governance Day respectively. Vice President Radhakrishnan attended the Parade Grounds event, while CM Revanth Reddy paid tributes at Gun Park. Political parties observed the day under different names over the years.

The Vice President also visited the War Memorial to lay a wreath in tribute to the fallen, and inspected the parade, which featured a march past and cultural performances.
