On Tuesday, the series won three Emmy Awards, including two for Outstanding Directing for a Drama Series and one for Outstanding Writing for a Drama Series.

Oldman has received Golden Globe, Emmy and BAFTA Award nominations for his performance as Lamb.

Season eight will be adapted for television and executive produced by Ben Vanstone, with Adam Randall returning as director.

"Slow Horses" is produced for Apple TV by See-Saw Films, with Jamie Laurenson, Hakan Kousetta, Douglas Urbanski, Randall, Iain Canning, Emile Sherman, Gail Mutrux, Billy Bowring, Helen Gregory, Herron and Oldman serving as executive producers.
