Karnataka Hight Court jails advocate for a day over courtroom misconduct, imposes Rs 2,000 fine
Karnataka High Court jails advocate Pankaj Koushik for one day and fines him Rs 2,000 for shouting at judges and abusing staff. Contempt case stems from domestic violence dispute.

A division bench comprising Justices Anu Sivaraman and Venkatesh Naik T imposed one day simple imprisonment (till raising of the court) upon Pankaj Koushik, a 51-year-old advocate from Karwar in Uttara Kannada district.
