Rishabh Pant was not picked as the second wicketkeeper, with the selectors opting for Dhruv Jurel alongside Rahul. Pant will instead lead the Rest of India against Ranji Trophy champions Jammu and Kashmir in the Irani Cup.
India have also handed opportunities to Naman Dhir and Auqib Nabi, who have been included in the ODI squad as the selectors continue to look at different options ahead of next year’s ODI World Cup. The three-match series against the West Indies begins in Thiruvananthapuram on September 27, followed by matches in Guwahati and Mullanpur.
