Turkish authorities have ordered the detention of more LGBTQ activists and supporters in the latest fallout from a weekend crackdown, taking the number of people remanded in custody to 62, AFP reported, citing a legal rights organisation.

The arrests are part of a wider operation in which more than 200 people have reportedly been detained, drawing condemnation from rights groups in Turkey and abroad.
