Three dead after flooding inundates Navajo Nation in New Mexico
Indigenous authorities issue condolences after two adults and a child swept away by floodwaters in southwestern state.
Indigenous authorities in the United States have said that three people have been killed in flooding in the southwestern state of New Mexico, where heavy rains left roadways blocked by water.
Navajo Nation President Buu Nygren said on Wednesday that police had responded to reports of people being swept away by floodwater at 12:30am (06:30 GMT) near the community of Newcomb in northwestern New Mexico.
