Elephant calf dies after tree falls on it in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar
A two-year-old elephant calf died after a tree fell on it in Karnataka's Chamarajanagar district. Forest officials struggled to rescue the injured jumbo as its mother and herd blocked efforts, leaving veterinarians helpless.
According to BRT Tiger Reserve Deputy Conservator of Forest Sripathi, the male elephant calf is aged around two years.
