‘Definitely Complicate’: Russia Warns US Sanctions Will Hurt Ukraine Peace Efforts

The bill targets Russia’s energy and defence sectors, President Vladimir Putin and other senior officials, as well as Moscow’s so-called shadow fleet of tankers.
The Kremlin on Thursday warned that new US sanctions targeting Russia will “definitely complicate" efforts to find a peaceful resolution to the war in Ukraine, after the US House of Representatives approved the most substantial sanctions legislation against Moscow in years.
“Of course, the imposition of any further sanctions by the US will definitely complicate the search for, and efforts towards, a peaceful resolution in Ukraine," Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
