US President Donald Trump is set to personally welcome Chinese President Xi Jinping at the airport when the Chinese leader arrives in Washington next week for a state visit, a US official confirmed to AFP.
Trump is expected to attend the official welcome ceremony at Joint Base Andrews on Wednesday, September 23. Xi is scheduled to arrive at around 4:10 pm local time, according to planning guidance for the state arrival ceremony.
