India Issues Advisory On Pakistan-Made 'Goree, Chandni' Whitening Creams Over Grave Health Risks

According to the CDSCO, the two Pakistan-made whitening creams contain “excessive heavy metals” beyond the specified limits.
India’s drug regulator has issued a public health alert over two unauthorised whitening creams allegedly made in Pakistan, warning consumers against purchasing or using the products because of concerns over excessive heavy metals.
The Central Drugs Standard Control Organisation (CDSCO) flagged ‘Chandni Whitening Cream’ and ‘Goree Beauty Cream’ in its notice regarding the sale of unauthorised cosmetic products from Pakistan.
