Bihar Floods: Nearly 50 Lakh People Affected Across 15 Districts, Centre Assesses Damage

Bihar Floods: Nearly 50 lakh people across 15 districts of Bihar have been affected by floods as heavy rainfall in the state and catchment areas of rivers flowing from Nepal has pushed several rivers above their danger marks, officials said.

According to the Bihar Disaster Management Department, around 49.74 lakh people have been affected by the floods. The affected districts include Patna, Bhojpur, Saran, Vaishali, Bhagalpur, Begusarai, Buxar, Samastipur, Munger, Katihar, Lakhisarai, Khagaria, Purnea, Madhepura and Araria.
