‘Vacate Immediately’: India Tells Pakistan After It Operationalises Joint Boundary Commission With China
China and Pakistan signed a boundary agreement in 1963 covering their border in the region. India has consistently rejected that agreement.
The External Affairs Ministry on Tuesday rejected the China-Pakistan Joint Boundary Commission, which became operational this week, and said Pakistan had no legal basis “to enter into arrangements concerning Indian territory under its illegal and forcible occupation".
“Our position on this matter is clear and consistent. There is no boundary between Pakistan and China. We reject the so-called Joint Commission, which is without any legal basis," Randhir Jaiswal, the ministry spokesperson, said in a statement.
