Abhishek Sharma scored the fastest T20I century by a full-member nation player, reaching 100 off 30 balls against Afghanistan at Arun Jaitley Stadium.
Indian opener Abhishek Sharma has broken the record for the fastest century scored by a batter playing for a full-member nation. The left-hander reached three figures off just 30 balls against Afghanistan in the third T20I at the Arun Jaitley Stadium — the first for a full-member nation in 30 or fewer balls in T20I history.
The record was jointly held by Zimbabwe’s Sikandar Raza and New Zealand’s Finn Allen for their centuries against Gambia and South Africa, respectively.
