Delhi High Court Calls Maharana Pratap's Reference In Mirzapur: The Movie 'Not In Good Taste'

The Delhi High Court called Maharana Pratap’s reference in Mirzapur: The Movie ‘not in good taste’ and directed the CBFC to decide on the matter within a week.
Mirzapur: The Movie faced backlash following its release over a song, “Shoorveer," which is dedicated to Maharana Pratap. Now, the Delhi High Court, on Thursday, has said that the use of the song is ‘not in good taste’ and has reportedly directed the CBFC to take a decision about it within a week.
As per PTI, a bench of Chief Justice D K Upadhyaya and Justice Tejas Karia remarked, “Prima facie, it does not appear to be in good taste. We have come to a situation where we are revering violence," while hearing the PIL in the matter.
