Meta no longer a ‘simple intermediary’, must take greater responsibility: Government sources
Government sources argue Meta must drop its intermediary status and accept full responsibility for content amplified by its algorithms. The shift follows Meta’s admission of errors in reporting child abuse material and intensified scrutiny over harmful content on its platforms.
