Over 15,000 Uttar Pradesh teacher vacancies announced, exams in December

The Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission has opened recruitment for 15,012 Assistant Teacher and Lecturer posts. The schedule makes One-Time Registration compulsory and sets separate December exam dates for both categories.
The recruitment process for 15,012 teacher posts in Uttar Pradesh has begun, with the Uttar Pradesh Education Service Selection Commission issuing advertisements for Assistant Teachers and Post Graduate Teachers.
Commission Chairman Dr Prashant Kumar issued the advertisements on September 15. Candidates applying for these posts must first complete the mandatory One-Time Registration (OTR), after which they can submit their applications.
Of the total vacancies, 897 are for Assistant Teacher (Attached to Primary) posts in the Secondary Education Department, while 11,508 are for Assistant Teacher (Urban) posts in the Basic Education Department.
The Commission has also announced recruitment for 2,607 posts in the Lecturer cadre, commonly referred to as Post Graduate Teacher or PGT posts.
ASSISTANT TEACHER APPLICATIONS OPEN FIRST
The advertisement for the two Assistant Teacher categories was issued as Advertisement No. 05/2026 on September 15. Online registration and applications will begin on September 16.
Candidates will have until October 15 to pay the application fee. The last date for making corrections in the application form is October 19.
The examination for these Assistant Teacher posts will be held on December 3 and 4, 2026.
Key point: One-Time Registration (OTR) is mandatory before candidates can apply for these posts.
For the 2,607 Lecturer cadre posts, Advertisement No. 06/2026 was issued on September 15. The online application process will begin on September 18.
The last date for fee submission is October 17, while candidates can make corrections in their applications until October 21.
The examination for the Lecturer cadre posts is scheduled for December 15 and 16, 2026.
The Commission has made the detailed advertisements and instructions available to candidates on its official website. Candidates must complete OTR before applying for any of the posts.
The recruitment schedule gives candidates separate timelines for registration, fee payment and corrections, so applicants should check the relevant advertisement carefully before submitting their forms.
The Commission has also advised candidates to read the instruction manual before applying. The recruitment covers teaching posts across the Secondary Education and Basic Education departments, giving eligible candidates multiple opportunities in the upcoming selection process.
