India Withdraw Nitish Reddy From Asian Games 2026 Squad, Vipraj Nigam Replaces Chakaravarthy

Nitish Kumar Reddy withdrawn from Asian Games 2026 squad to play ODIs vs West Indies. Varun Chakaravarthy out due to injury, Vipraj Nigam named as replacement.

Nitish Kumar Reddy will not represent India in the 2026 edition of the Asian Games and will instead play in the three-match ODI series against the West Indies. The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) took to X on Wednesday to announce India’s squad for the home series against the Men in Maroon and included Nitish in the 15-member squad.

The BCCI stated in a release that Nitish has been withdrawn from the Asian Games 2026 squad to play in one-day matches against the West Indies and also confirmed that Varun Chakaravarthy will miss the Asian Games due to injury.
