Mohammad Rizwan's Investigation Takes A Dark Turn As Betting Allegations Surface

Betting and anti-corruption angles have emerged in the Mohammad Rizwan probe for the first time, as the Lahore High Court dismissed his plea against NCCIA notices.
Anti-corruption and betting allegations have surfaced for the first time in the ongoing National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency (NCCIA) inquiry involving Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan, with the Lahore High Court noting that the agency is investigating online betting and gambling.
The court on Thursday dismissed Rizwan’s petition challenging notices issued to him by the NCCIA. According to local Pakistani reports, Chief Justice Aalia Neelum directed the cricketer to approach the agency, explain his position and respond to the notices.
